Compose a Walking Tune

In a previous challenge you composed a rhythm on your instrument. Now we will try composing a tune using different notes, but keeping the rhythm very simple – just walking notes.

Start off by playing walking notes on one string or note on the piano. All the notes should be the same length and should sound nice and even. Here are my notes:

 

Now keep the same rhythm but change the note. When you think you have reached the last note of the tune, make it last for four counts. Here is my tune:

 

Can you make some more tunes this way? Get someone to listen to you or try writing it down so that you can play it again tomorrow.
